More online dating don'ts

Just a few more from my recent online dating disasters-all are true stories:

1.  If I accept a date with you-that doesn't mean I am looking to jump into a relationship and go shopping at David's Bridal.  Yes, my profile shows that I am looking for a relationship-but on a first date I am just trying to get to know you.  No rings or white dresses needed.

2.  If we plan a date and you have a change of heart at the last minute; just call me and be honest.  Don't break our date via text 2 hours before we are planning to meet like a coward and then come crawling back a week later trying to talk to me via text again. The odds are very high that you will never get a date with me after that, so give it up.  Different story if it is an emergency; not acceptable if you are just scared to meet me.

3.  If you are a 22 year old college student-realize that know matter how many times you message me or how cute you are-it's not going to work.  You are in college-I am a college instructor.  Even though you do not go to my school....I just have an issue dating someone that is closer to my 13 year old daughters' age than mine.

4.  If you take me on a date, please do not try to argue with me over everything just for arguments sake; it's really unattractive and will guarantee that you don't get a second date.

5.  If you ask me to dinner and travel to my location to do it.....don't be foolish enough to think that I am going to meet you at your hotel-remember, I'm educated, not an idiot.

6.  Asking me when I lost my virginity is a definite NO on a first date.  Seriously, learn some conversational skills, then try online dating.

7.  Above all else, if you are lucky enough to get my phone number, please do not send me obscene pictures or off-color, tacky jokes.....you are trying to impress me, and that just doesn't do it for me.
